Fjällbacka: An idyllic place in the southwest coast of Sweden

Last weekend we went on a road trip to Sweden. The weather was not so helpful since it was raining most of the time we spent there, but when we arrived to Fjellbacka the sun welcomed us!

We climbed Kungsklyftan rock. It was quite challenging ascent to the top but the view was quite rewarding!

A little info:

Ingrid Bergman called Fjällbacka her paradise on earth. She stayed here for over 20 summers with her children. After her death in 1982 her ashes spreads in the sea surrounding of the island Dannholmen. On Fjällbacka square a statue was raised  to honor her memory. The square was renamed to Ingrid Bergman’s Square.

Fjällbacka is a small fishing village in Tanum. The resort takes its name from the large rock mountain that characterizes the village.  Fishing, shipping and trade was formerly important industries which today has been replaced by manufacturing and tourism.
