No expectations…no limits

Expectations are my favorite/ hardest topic in my life. I have been blessed to live moments in my life that I have been so happy and free because I let myself free from expectations.

And due to/thanks to my overthinking mind I let myself feeling disappointed when things are not going my way or according to my plan.

I did a google search about expectations and here below are some quotes that I found about it:

Expectation Hangover” Defined

The myriad undesirable feelings, thoughts, and responses present when one or a combination of the following things occurs:

+ Things don’t turn out the way you thought, planned, or wanted them to.
+ Things do turn out according to your plans and desires, but you don’t feel the fulfillment

you expected.
+ You are unable to meet your personal and/or professional expectations.
+ An undesired, unexpected event occurs that is in conflict with what you wanted

or planned.” Christine Hassler

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.” Dalai Lama

My happiness grows in direct proportion to my acceptance,

and in inverse proportion to my expectations.” Michael J. Fox

“The root of suffering is attachment.” Buddha

“What if…?” is a question that evokes a feeling of wonderful possibility or dreadful panic. Choose possibility over panic! Christine Hassler

And there are so many of those quotes…But the bottom line is to let go.

Easier said than done? Isn’t? But by letting go is not to give up, which is something that I often get

myself confused.

It is to do the best you can in your own way and let every outcome to serve you to move you towards greater realizations.

It means to be open to unexpected possibilities. It is to have more positive energy when you don’t have the burden of expectations. It is to act on your intention without expecting about when or how it manifests.

The expectations can only limit your perception of things and not make you see if not the whole picture, but at least a piece of the larger scheme of events where everything is really working the way it would/could.

So let’s meditate/contemplate on these quotes..

After all..”que sera, sera” 🙂
